Browncoat Events has been revamped and re-born for a very special project.

This July, Jonathan Woodward (you'll know him as Tracey in Firefly, and regular convention attendees will know him as 'The Life of the Party') is going to Haiti with The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) to take part in their Project Racine.

The project focuses on empowering young people to take responsibility for the economic, health, educational and environmental well-being of Haiti, through IAHV's Youth Leadership Training Programme. In order to take part in this project, Jonathan needs to raise $15,000, and that's where you come in. There are two ways that you can help:

1. DONATE - Make a donation using the paypal donate button at the top right of the page. As long as you have a credit or debit card, you don't need a paypal account to donate. ***Please donate using the donate button rather than direct to the charity so that Jonathan can keep track of the amount raised***
2. LINK - Spread the word: Please link back to this site on your website, facebook, myspace, twitter, blog, forum and anywhere else you can think of. There'll be some banners you can use up shortly.

We know that times are hard right now so thank you for any amount, no matter how small, that you are able to give.

Thank you to everyone who bid on my auctions. I was able to give Jonathan £450 this weekend (12-14 June) which has gone a small way towards helping him reach his goal.
